Coach Priscilla Diamond

Hi! I'm Coach Priscilla. I began Surfside Swim Safety (SSS) after countless hours of swimming throughout my life and having a passion for helping students of all ages become strong swimmers. Between being a swim coach and swimming as a Division III athlete throughout college, I have realized how important swimming is as a lifelong skill for everyone, at any age, to learn.

I was a private lesson instructor prior to creating SSS where I was specifically trained to teach children and adults about safety in the water. Since then, my passion for teaching swim safety has grown.

I graduated in 2022 with a bachelor's in Honors Psychology and Education, now currently enrolled as a full-time graduate student for a master's in Applied Behavior Analysis. Majority of my past work experience has involved teaching ages 3 and up in some way, whether that was through teaching in schools, swim lessons, coaching, or being a behavior technician.

I have experience in the special needs population, as I have been working the past two years as a Registered Behavior Technician for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other diagnoses.

I focus on creating a fun, but hardworking atmosphere in the water, where students feel like they can  simultaneously play and learn about water safety. I individualize each lesson to fit the needs of the student and use equipment that best suits their needs at the time of the lesson. All students develop at their own pace, but with consistency, positivity, and confidence, my students have excelled at learning water safety.
